Compatibility: This dryer belt suits many Simpson Sirocco, Minimax, Maxidry clothes dryers and also suits some Westinghouse dryers.
Function: It is a clear plastic belt that stretches over the fan and motor pulley at the back of the dryer to transfer mechanical rotational power.
Specifications: 3/16 X 30" (*250mm - 260mm), Clear plastic.
When does this part need to be replaced? Replace this dryer fan belt immediately if you notice specific performance issues or physical wear during an inspection. As this belt drives the exhaust fan, a broken or failing belt will cause the dryer to quickly overheat or fail to clear moisture.
Look for these physical wear signs:

• Discolouration: The belt has turned dark yellow, brown, or even black.
• Brittle Texture: The plastic feels hard, stiff, or shows visible small cracks.
• Stretching: The belt is visibly sagging or slips off the pulleys very easily.
• Broken: The belt has completely snapped and is broken into pieces.

PLEASE NOTE: This belt stretches over the fan and motor pulley. It will look shorter than the older one because it will get loose after running a few years. Also when it is supplied it is clear but goes yellow over time from heavy use.
